Too Far [Apr. 18th, 2007|04:27 pm]
[Current Mood |irateirate]

I don't like to join in the "pile on the media" response that happens after...everything, but there is currently (courtesy of NBC), on every news website in the world, a huge picture of the piece of human shit that murdered 32 people aiming two handguns and generally looking like something out of a bad car racing/gangster film.

What feat of investigative journalism brought this wonderful artifact of information to the public? The son of a bitch, in his leisurely 2-hour stroll between shootings, walked to a post office and mailed it to NBC, something which according to the gigantic "KILLER SENT PACKAGE TO NBC!" headline on MSNBC.com, the organization is taking as a point of pride.

Fuck you, every editor who printed it. Fuck you twice, NBC. Vultures.

Agreed. I got home from work this evening and turned on MSNBC to see what sort of news I missed today, and they are quite literally bragging about it.

I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be bragging about being the preferred news network of terrorists.

I do not really care to see his face. I definitely don't care to hear him talk about why he did it. I especially don't care to see "experts" discuss it with Keith Olberman.

The shooting at my school happened three weeks before I graduated. I remember the cameras were everywhere outside of the school, in our faces, trying catch a tear before the evening news deadline. They clogged the street and made it all a bizarre circus. And they did show up at our graduation. Every year from '99 to about a couple of years ago, the local paper had to print a huge front page about it. Sharing information or grasping for an audience?

This package thing is something for the police, not the public. To show it is to glorify the violence and encourage others to follow in his steps. I refuse to watch and give that asshole any voice.

Thank you for posting this

I agree completely. Those editors are beneath my contempt.
